Once behind giant marketplaces’ kitchen

AnyMind Group, a Singapore-based company, has announced its acquisition of Arche Digital, a Malaysian ecommerce enabler, for US$1.5 million.

The transaction is expected to be completed by June 2024. This acquisition marks AnyMind’s second ecommerce enabler purchase in the past 12 months, following its acquisition of Digital Distribusi Indonesia in May last year.

Founded in 2015, Arche Digital provides end-to-end solutions to help businesses enter online marketplaces such as Shopee and Lazada. Its customers operate in various industries, including health and beauty, groceries, and electronics.

The acquisition allows AnyMind to expand its business process-as-a-service offering in Malaysia by combining Arche Digital’s operational expertise with AnyMind’s software solutions.

AnyMind’s journey throughout Asia

AnyMind has made a total of nine acquisitions, with four businesses in Japan and one each in India, Thailand, and Hong Kong. Kosuke Sogo, AnyMind’s cofounder and CEO, emphasizes the importance of evaluating the management team’s capability, cultural fit, and synergy with existing business when considering M&A opportunities.

AnyMind successfully went public on the Tokyo Stock Exchange Growth Market in March 2023, having secured a total of US$91.7 million in disclosed funding from investors such as JAFCO Asia, Line, and Mitsubishi UFJ Capital.
