GPU as a Service… What?

Singtel, the leading telecommunications provider in Southeast Asia, is set to launch a groundbreaking GPU as a Service (GPUaaS) offering in the third quarter of 2024.

This cloud-based solution will grant enterprises access to cutting-edge graphics processing units (GPUs) on demand, unlocking a world of possibilities in machine learning, data processing, and high-performance computing.

Sustainable AI data centers

Singtel’s GPUaaS will be deployed through Nvidia H100 GPU-powered clusters housed in the company’s upgraded data centers across Singapore, Thailand, and Indonesia.

The company plans to expand its sustainable AI data center footprint, aiming to deliver over 100 megawatts of capacity within the next three years.

Empowering enterprises

“Our GPUaaS will run in AI-ready data centers specifically tailored for intense compute environments,” said Bill Chang, CEO of Singtel’s Digital InfraCo unit and Nxera.

“This will give enterprises the flexibility to deploy AI without having to invest and manage expensive infrastructure.”
