Singapore-based healthtech firm Doctor Anywhere has announced the appointment of Louis-Berard Carcouet as its new vice president of product.

Carcouet, formerly the CEO of Bitsmedia, the company behind the popular lifestyle app Muslim Pro, will be responsible for leading product strategy at Doctor Anywhere.

His primary focus will be on integrating the company’s offerings to create a cohesive ecosystem.

Extensive product management

Carcouet brings a wealth of experience to his new role, having spent over eight years at Bitsmedia in various positions, including COO, vice president of product management, and CEO.

Prior to his tenure at Bitsmedia, Carcouet was one of the first employees at proptech firm PropertyGuru, where he was responsible for mobile products catering to both B2B and B2C markets in Southeast Asia.

Driving innovation in healthcare

Expressing his enthusiasm for the new role, Carcouet stated, “I’m deeply motivated by the possibilities of enabling individuals toward better long-term health through innovative product solutions.”

Doctor Anywhere, founded in 2017, has been providing on-demand healthcare services to over 2.5 million users across Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, and the Philippines.

Carcouet’s appointment follows Doctor Anywhere’s successful US$40.8 million fundraising in December 2023. The company plans to use the funds to build a vertically integrated digital healthcare ecosystem, and Carcouet’s expertise in product management and integration will be instrumental in achieving this goal.

With his proven track record and passion for innovation, Carcouet is to help Doctor Anywhere continue its mission of improving access to quality healthcare services in the region.
