Seed funding fuels Untukmu AI

Pang Xue Kai, the co-founder of Indonesian crypto app Tokocrypto, has embarked on a new venture with the launch of Untukmu AI, an AI-powered gifting startup targeting the Indonesian market.

The Singapore-based company has raised an undisclosed amount of seed funding led by 1982 Ventures and several angel investors to fuel its growth and expansion plans.

Untukmu AI leverages artificial intelligence to help corporations and individuals find personalized gifts from vendors listed on its platform.

Untukmu explores blockchain rewards

The startup, founded by Pang Xue Kai and Pang Xue Cong in 2022, aims to streamline the gifting process by offering tools such as a gift tracker, budget tracker, and events calendar, all integrated with social media.

Since launching its app in January 2024, Untukmu has garnered over 10,000 registered users on its platform, tapping into Indonesia’s personal gifting market, which the company claims is worth US$20 billion.

The fresh funds will be used to expand Untukmu’s presence into healthcare, travel, financial, and lifestyle industries, and to explore the use of blockchain and crypto tokens to reward users.

Gifting industry gets crypto touch

Pang Xue Kai’s experience in the crypto space, having co-founded Tokocrypto in 2018 before stepping down in late 2022 following the company’s acquisition by Binance, brings a unique perspective to the corporate gifting industry.

As Untukmu AI continues to grow and innovate, it has the potential to revolutionize the way companies and individuals approach gifting in Indonesia and beyond.
