Seed funding for AI-driven land restoration

Arkadiah Technology, a startup using AI to restore degraded land, has completed a seed funding round led by Golden Gate Ventures.

Other backers include The Radical Fund and Japanese VC Money Forward Ventures, though exact amounts were undisclosed.

Founded by former Grab finance head Reuben Lai and geospatial expert Gerry Ong, Arkadiah aims to facilitate reforestation, carbon removal, and biodiversity efforts addressing climate change.

AI-powered platform revolutionizes nature restoration projects

Its platform leverages AI, satellite imagery and on-the-ground data to assess and implement solutions.

Revenue comes from commissions on commissioned nature restoration projects, with Arkadiah already active across Southeast Asia and Australia. It views regional diversity as an asset enhancing model versatility.

Arkadiah’s pedigreed founders and niche targeting of climate action via AI drew support. The funding will further develop its technology and offerings applying machine learning to ecological regeneration at scale.
