I’m a Very Weird Founder.
1. I use X for 80% of my customer support.
Over 100 chats daily. Works amazingly good.
2. X for waitlists.
Lately, I post products here and use replies/DMs as a waitlist. The traditional email waitlists cool down so fast, people don’t read the “invite” emails.
3. Some Of My Tools Have No Front End.
Listingbott is a great example. I shared the idea and people loved it. So, I focused on making it work well instead of looking fancy.
You pay through a simple page made on Unicorn Platform + Stripe link, message me to activate your account, fill out an info form and that’s it! If the tool works great and best on the market, no one cares how it looks.
4. I turn boilerplates into products.
One of my products is built from a public GitHub repo. I just added some unique features to make it great for a specific use case. You’ll see it next week and I think you’ll love it! Lots of open-source free projects can be reused, so why start from scratch?
5. I turn pain into products.
MarsX → building products took too long, I fixed it, took from months to days.
@seobotai → to save time on keyword research and SEO articles.
http://ListingBott.com → to speed up the slow process of getting backlinks for SEO.
Indexrusher → to automate submitting urls one by one on Google Search Console.
CountVisits → I’m nearing 100 websites. External tools are pricey and limited. I needed more stats on things like SEO, waitlists, payments, and errors.
@unicornplatform → I wanted to build 1000 websites and directories, couldn’t find a good tool that’d help me.
6. Turned Down VCs.
I’ve had a seed funding round on the table that I spent 2 months cooking up. But later I realized I don’t need this money and I wanna bootstrapp at least until $200M valuation.
7. I use discord. Not slack.
8. I don’t send/read emails.
I check it out once a week.
9. No Meetings, no calls.
My calendar is blank. Max 3 events a month.
10. I work every day. Every single day. Weekends, holidays. However I spend 4 hours a day with my family. Every single day. I work from home.
11. I do all or some of – design – coding – management – accounting – legal – devops – support – sales – marketing – content – SMM – UX/product – HR – finances(banking, payrolls..) – bug fixing at the night when prod is down – ideations – the list goes on…
Why don’t I delegate? Because I need the pain to come up with more product ideas! I don’t complain. I love what I do. Been at it for 20 years, plan on 10 more.
Then, I’ll build a city for indie makers – free of gov bs, full of projects, education, nature, sports, art and music.
I always wonder, if people actually read my long posts.Wanna test it, Did you read this line?
Btw, Who needs an access to OpenAI’s Sora GenAI by Sam Altman?
