Academic Giants Join Forces
Singapore’s top universities NUS and NTU are setting the stage for a revolutionary startup ecosystem through their National Graduate Research Innovation Program (National GRIP).
Announced by Deputy Prime Minister Heng Swee Keat, this S$50 million initiative merges successful existing programs from both institutions into one comprehensive platform launching January 2025.
Building Tomorrow’s Tech Leaders
The 12-month program targets ambitious founders from Singapore’s autonomous universities and A*STAR research institutes.
Through structured frameworks and expert mentorship, National GRIP aims to transform 300 startup teams by 2028 into market-ready ventures, establishing over 150 spin-offs by 2030.
Global Innovation Gateway
Partnering deep tech venture capitalists like Legend Capital, SOSV Investments LLC, and Vertex Holdings, the program provides participants direct access to intellectual property, investment opportunities, and international markets through NUS BLOCK71’s global network.
Industry veterans can join teams through VC networks, accelerating startup growth and market expansion.
