A match made in CX heaven
Singapore-based cloud communications and customer experience (CX) provider Toku has announced its intention to acquire AiChat, a conversational AI customer experience platform.
The acquisition, expected to close by Q3 2024, will enhance Toku’s existing services, transforming the company into a full-service CX tech firm.
“CEO Thomas Laboulle believes the acquisition could boost AiChat’s revenue by 50% within a year. The company, which has generated a cumulative US$81 million in revenue since founding, plans to leverage AiChat’s expertise in channels like WhatsApp, Google Messages, and Line.”
Toku also aims to reach EBITDA breakeven by Q4 this year and become cash flow positive by 2025.
The future of customer engagement
Toku will initially develop AiChat’s existing road map as a standalone product, focusing on regional language processing.
The collaboration is expected to lead to the development of a sophisticated voice bot that could revolutionize how businesses scale human-like customer engagement. AiChat’s team will join Toku’s, increasing the combined entity’s total staff count to 160.
