Local Suppliers Take Center Stage

Oppo’s Indonesian factory in Tangerang leads the charge in local production, sourcing 37% of components from domestic suppliers.

The Chinese smartphone giant exceeds Indonesia’s mandatory 35% threshold for smartphone makers, positioning itself strategically in Southeast Asia’s largest market.

Manufacturing Powerhouse

The facility pumps out 1-2 million units monthly, ranging from budget phones to premium flagships like the Find X8. Operating since 2022, the 100,000-square-meter plant employs over 1,000 workers – 99% Indonesian natives – making it Oppo’s second-largest overseas hub after India.

Market Dominance

Oppo commands 19% of Indonesia’s smartphone market, outperforming Transsion and Samsung Electronics.

The company’s success stems from its early entry into Indonesian manufacturing, predating current geopolitical tensions between China and the US.
